SCPC286 80286 PC-AT PS/2-Compatible CPU
The SCPC286 is a highly integrated, high performance 80286-based STEbus CPU, providing all the standard functions of an AT or PS 72-compatible computer.
SCPC286 is an exceptionally powerful vehicle for implementing control and data acquisition systems. Its STEbus interface overcomes all of the I/O and expansion problems inherent with using standard PCs in an industrial environment.
On-board is an 80286 CPU running at 16- or 12-MHz, an 80287 co-processor socket (80287 not supplied as standard), up to 1 Mbyte of Dynamic RAM, up to 64 Kbytes EPROM and a battery-backed real-time clock. An AT-compatible keyboard, PS/2 mouse port and floppy disk interface (supporting two standard or high-density 3.5" or 5.25" drives), makes connection to standard PC equipment easy.
Designed to run PC-DOS or MS-DOS, the board is supplied fitted with a BIOS EPROM supporting shadow RAM, and with built-in fast hard disk BIOS supporting the Arcom SCSI STEbus interface board.
Expansion through the bus allows users to easily create powerful systems with high performance graphics, ROM disks, RAM disks, I/O and networking connection options. STEbus Interface: STEbus permanent master for single processor applications or as a potential master (using an external arbiter) in multiprocessor systems. Power consumption: Typ 1.1A @ 5V (12MHz).
