The project is based around a PCB business card. The card includes a RFID plus the RP2040 micro controller. It is USB-C powered or can be used with the on-board LiPo battery.
The PCB has two versions: a larger badge holder and a smaller version as a business card.
The PCB has different extension levels with added functions:
- bare PCB, laser engraved with exposed PCB cooper: shiny 0.8 mm PCB business card
- add NTAG RFID chip and store contact information: electronic RFID business card
- add RP2020 components: business card with MCU and USB-C
- add side-SK6812 addressable LEDs: blinky-blinky business card
- add LIPo battery on the back: power the board for more than one day with LEDs blinking
- add laser-cut acrylic cover plus edge-lit laser engraved sign: cool desktop edge-lit sign
- add 3D printed frame and laser engraved acrylic inlet: LED illuminated conference badge
- add 3D printed card holder on the back: use it as company badge holder or store extra business cards
- add 3D printed Swiss Card holder: enhance the holder with essential 'Swiss Army Knife' tools
