The BudCure Box is a sealed, laser cut 1/4" plywood box. It takes readings on the weight and humidity levels while using a peltier dehumidifier and an exhaust fan. The idea is that you measure the weight loss to know when its time to move to the Cannaster. To dry the harvest, you first use the fan to get rid of the bulk of the moisture, then you close the fan door and use the dehumidifier to maintain the correct humidity level.
The Cannaster consists of a baine marie pot and an automatic lid. It takes readings of the pressure and humidity levels and uses a small vacuum pump to evacuate the container. This draws moisture from inside to come out, speeding up the time it takes to store your harvest.
Current (7/29/2024) status of the project is in active development. I have proved the basic concepts that make the budcure machines useful for the task at hand. A few problems are yet to be solved before I move on from the prototyping phase.
