A year-long quest to turn myself into a murderous robot for some conventions in New York. Headache inducing pieces include: custom RGB glasses, ginormous wings, baby’s first Arduino project, and More(TM)
A plan has been hatched. You know those “disposable” vapes that everyone uses nowadays? They’re not really disposable. They have perfectly good LiPo batteries inside them, which can easily power an Arduino. The plan is to collect a few dozen of these and connect them in parallel to make a super high capacity 3.7v battery that can power my cosplay for an entire con weekend. If this sounds crazy, congratulations, you have a brain! It’s a sacred cosplay art to do something super crazy just to make a piece work, and boy am I honoring our cosplay gods with this one. In addition, in the name of Nye-San (you may roast me for calling him that), I’m making it into an internet friendly experiment that you can follow along with at home. Stay tuned! <3
I’m working on the clothing parts first so I have something cute to wear for DerpyCon and Halloween. The only problem is…I somehow broke an industrial machine and it’s the only machine in the house. We’re looking around for places to get it serviced, but right now I’m a little stuck. So, I’ve shelved this project. I’ll pick it back up when I have a functional sewing machine (because there’s no way in hell I’m hand sewing an entire JSK and blouse). This is gonna be all from me for a bit. F in the chat for my dad’s Singer Heavy Duty machine, and I’ll be around.
