• Hack it to the max using off the shelf stuff A Vertically mounted crazy flie for Bitcraze modified in software and balanced out with mounting the battery further from the point of balance on the para foil strings could work possibly. Stiff foils would mean no need for elevation control on the para foil however this may be unavoidable.
• Build it from the ground up as much as possible. PiZero with controller hat modified software and controllers for the servo controlling wires or possible use propellers on a vertically mounted quad however this would not give you control over elevation entirely nor banking.
• Build it from scratch. Board with Servo control. Control rods or strings for para foil. Something akin to a crazy radio for RC. FPV off the shelf micro camera and transmitter with a separate feed form RC.

There is some other prior art out there. Hobby king do a 1.9m and 2.10 m para foil. I wonder how small could be possible aerodynamics and weight permitting and if possible how stiff and fold-able you could make it. So for instance Carbon fiber fold-able tubes for the para foil. Nylon is lighter though.
