Here are some tests using a simple webcam and the MediaPipe Tasks Vision model to track and calculate hand and finger angles.
Thanks to PCBWay for sponsoring my project with PCB manufacturing and 3D-printed metal parts!
The parts are awesome, even in such small models. The M2 tapped holes are perfect! A big thanks to them for supporting my project. If you need PCBs or 3D-printed parts, I highly recommend their services.
The base plates for the palm is currently 3D printed, but I plan to use PCBs for it, in next versions.
Added some small bearings in the fingers' last joints (to be driven by nylon cables) and made a small part to link the servo axis in the palm to the axis of the first phalange.
Back to my old fascination with robotic hands, but this time with 7 more years of skills and accumulated tools. Let's see where it goes.
