Note: My restlessness prevented me from fully finishing any of these games. I, honestly, am glad I took this approach: It allowed me to learn what I could from each project and then move onto successively more complex, challenging projects. As is most often said “It is not about the destination; it’s about the journey.
Onward: Greatly inspired by Astroneer, Kerbal Space Program, and Outer Wilds. The simulation is open world, where the player can go between planets and explore and walk around, fight enemies, and complete objectives. It’s a great concept… maybe future completion?
Submarines: Inspired by UBoat on Steam. One of my favorite projects. I learned how to maintain order in more complex projects, which made development much easier.
You’re Hired: A quite complicated 3D game that talks place in an office. It involved quite a bit of complicated programming (lots of ray casting and 3D physics), which further advanced my knowledge
Head Shot: This was one of my first introductions to 3D games. It taught me quite a bit about 3D game logic, particle effects, and game environment design.
Bomber: It was going to be a mobile game, but never got past the first stages of development.
Pong: Published on ITCH.IO. Pretty easy. This project acted as mortar, solidifying my knowledge as well as bringing together different aspects of development.
