Code status:

Still not a lot done. Waiting on hardware so I can test. Can't commit to making a lot of improvements until I get the firmware at least initially working, and figure out how long these will take to assemble.

Board status:

FINALLY SHIPPED! If they don't arrive by the end of the week I'll be sad.

I've not done anything with this project in the last 2 days, instead spending my time focusing on wrapping up other projects for Supercon as I wait for PCBs to ship. edit: worked on soft i2c slave code. should mostly be "done." no idea if it works of course.

All PCB fab and assembly is done but nothing has yet shipped. Hoping it all ships on the 20th. That would likely give me, at worst, a week to do assembly, code testing and final cleanup. If I am super lucky, I could receive these as soon as Tuesday, but I'm of the expectation that I will have them by end of week.

Code status:

Not a lot to say here. Did some more cleanup. The code is public if you know where to find it. I'll make the location public here once the code is tested and working on final hardware.

Board fabrication status:

Bottom PCBs are fully assembled and ready to ship. They were ordered with the top PCBs so will ship with those.

Top PCBs are ... still being fabricated. Here's hoping SMT assembly begins within 24 hours and goes quickly. There's a very small chance these ship before Monday.

The potential good news is Fedex typically delivers VERY fast from the fab to my address.

Code status:

I currently have all code building cleanly for both MCUs. There's several new pieces of code, such as the soft I2C master and soft I2C slave which need to be fully completed and tested. Same goes for the IrDA transciever stuff. The existing RGBLED controller code should be fixed and working now. Most of the menu logic remains the same as it was 5 years ago - that being a total code mess but the menu itself is functional. I still need to implement ambient light detection code.

With how late the boards are expected to be here, there won't be much time to get the code ready for con. Here's hoping.

Board fabrication status:

Boards are still being fabricated. Original ship estimate was Oct 17, but that's tomorrow and the PCBs haven't even started the SMT assembly phase yet. My best guess at board arrival is the week of Supercon. Hopefully they make it on time.
