This is the first version of my GAT Stand addon holder.
Originally planned but omitted:
- Attach multiple units via FFC for multi-unit panel applications
- Adjustable angle print-in-place, flat-printed 3D printed base
- Current measurement for smarter operation
- OLED display for onboard configuration
Features:
- Type-C powered, with switchable Type-C output daisy chain output
- Slim acrylic presentation panel with 3D printed base
- Max addon current: 250mA sustained, 400mA peak
(limit input capacitance to 10uF) - Max USB daisy chain current: 1.5A
- Individual soft power control for the addon port and downstream Type-C port
- Ambient light detection option; allows automatic power on/off based on room lighting
- Power state is remembered through physical power cycles if the clock battery is present
Future features (may implement at Supercon 8):
- Control via PC through USB
- Time scheduler (configure via PC)
- I2C scanner, console read/write routines
- Downstream control; all daisy-chained modules can be controlled with only one host connection
