My VCR is a Sharp VC-M23, made in 1996 (like me). There isn't much information about it online, but it seems to be a fairly nondescript, lower-end PAL model for its era. It has one SCART socket, RF in/out, SP/LP record mode, and the usual clock/timer functions.

It's perfectly capable of recording audio (via the SCART socket) without a video signal, making it possible to record audio-only broadcasts.
