Celenn did a glove prototype. The snapfit base is finished, we did 2 handle prototypes that can goes inside the snapfit, we will try them during the next lesson to see which one is the most comfortable to use, but also to see if they resist well, after that we'll make a hole inside the handle to insert a fork, to make it easier to wash, but also usable with more objects if possible, or if there is a problem, we will change a part of the design.
We continued working on the different part that we each had to do, some more prototypes were made for the snap fit, we think we are going to go with the 3rd design (see the screenshot of fusion), which was inspired by a snap fit buckle (see example of the inspiration), the creation of the gloves has also began (take a look at the photo), we now have to do a fork that will fit the snap fit, our idea would be to make a 7cm fork, including its handle, which would correspond to the snap fit created, we will see if it works, but it might not be resistant enough. The way the fork would be put inside the snap fit, would be to put the fork in an adaptative handle that can be put in and out of the snap fit.
We discussed the project together to make sure we didn't forget anything.
Still working on multi-adaptor glove, more specifically for fork and jumping rope.
Diego seems optimistic about our project, the idea pleased him, and he liked the way the fork is positioned, he seems happy about the fact that it could be used for both the fork and jumping rope, he never wore a glove like the one we want to do, so we need to try that out. For now we are going to try making a prototype using the prolonges snap fit.
For next class, we should all prepare:
Snap fit - Maxance
Band (glove) - Celenn
The fork – In Young
Until the next class and we should complete our first prototype
Project summary. Visit of the FabLab.Change of project and moving onto the cutlery one, we would like to create some kind of glove or hand-engulfing system that can be adapted to both the jumping rope andcutlery. Something that helps to gripobjects and use them even in difficult situations such as jumping or cutting hard meat. Drawing of two different prototypes and talking about the use of a screw, judged impractical because of the angle of the final turn being random so maybe a snap fit system could be used. Discussion about the personalization and aesthetic of the product with fabric colour and embroideries. You can see some examples of snap fit that we might use.
We worked on fusion to learn how to use it and how we could use it for our project, for training we did the knife made by students last year during the international course, in the application, sadly we were not able to work on the controller since we needed to finish working on the knife and we were missing some information on the controller.
-Creation of the group and researches about the project
-Decision to try to fix the drone controller
-Contact with Diego’s mother for more detail about the controller and the issues the user may be facing.
-More research on already available controllers such as the one offered by PlayStation and the one available in the FabLab.
The one offered by PlayStation isn’tviable in our case so we discarded the idea
And the one in the FabLab are interesting but Diego needs to be able to use the controller without a flat surface close to him (so that he could use it outdoors) so we need to figure out how to do that
-identification of the problem :
Drone controller too large for one hand and inability to use the buttons and both joysticks at the same time.
The fsion with the phone makes it even harder to use because of the important joysticks at the same time.
-Creation of accounts on Hackaday.io and creation of the project on the platform
