I still enjoy watching videos on a CRT, but dealing with custom interlaced resolutions on a PC didn't work out for me. As a 80s/90s kid I witnessed the media evolution from TV, VHS, LaserDisc to DVD and even today my personal opinion is that this medium is worth to be preserved for CRT enthusiasts. I have some technical background, but I cannot develop something like this on my own, so I'm happily looking forward to some feedback about my findings, the most important ones being that my player uses standard SCSI/SFF-8020i and has no protection but its region code, which is not an issue when you can work with .iso files from an ssd or sd.
