All code for this is in Github: https://github.com/Caputsic/Phyrexian-Altar-Table
Table uses approximately 9 meters of Adafruit NeoPixel Digital RGB LED Strip 30 LED/Meter. It is driven by an Arduino Nano Every. I selected this arduino for it's small size, as it needed to fit inside the table, and for its large SRAM. I wanted a lot of SRAM to ensure I would not run into any issues when sending out animations to the LED strips.
Each player has a button on the edge of the table to opt into a game and to opt out.
Two players on each side of the table share a large button for passing their turn. The buttons are wired directly to the Arduino, and I take advantage of the built in PullDown resisters to keep the electronics simple.
