Most smart thermostats on the market are full of compromises. They usually only support a fixed number of sensors, and you can’t freely combine indoor and outdoor ones. Systems that do offer this flexibility are often expensive.

That’s what inspired me to build my own ESP32-based Smart Thermostat. It’s designed to go beyond commercial options while remaining accessible.

Key features:

  • Dynamically supports multiple indoor and outdoor sensors on the same network.

  • Always-on internet-based clock with automatic daylight saving adjustments.

  • Blynk app compatibility for remote monitoring and control.

  • Independent day and night temperature profiles.

  • Built-in barometer that helps forecast the weather in advance.

The goal of this project is to combine flexibility, smart-home readiness, and practical usability — all in a DIY device that avoids the compromises of store-bought thermostats.
