My student wants a smaller head for the automata (this is quite cool and will be 3d scanned from a clay original), so once a capability is demonstrated we will probably be pushing to modify or adopt smaller mechanisms, but it's important to get points on the board and learn what we're doing by getting hands-on first.
plan of attack:
- build out most simple and cheap 3d printed version
- staying within Will Cogley's ecosystem, build his more advanced, more expensive version
- iterate from there...
