Working Reef Dosing Setup
The current prototype is fully operational and running in a reef aquarium setup.
Hardware Configuration
- Two dosing motors
- Repurposed 3D printer controller motherboard
- 24V AC/DC power supply
The pump motor current is configured to 300 mA. This lower current setting is intentionally optimized for continuous operation, significantly reducing motor and driver heat generation during long dosing cycles.
The system has been stable in extended testing and provides smooth low-speed dosing performance suitable for reef aquarium applications.
