About This Project
Many unusual LED filament and COB designs can be found on Alibaba and AliExpress, but turning those marketplace listings into a reliable supply chain is often much harder than it appears.
This project collects sourcing notes, supplier conversations, sample evaluations, MOQ discussions, and lessons learned while helping small hardware companies procure non-standard LED components.
The focus is on practical sourcing questions:
- What shapes and colors are actually available?
- Which designs are existing products versus custom tooling?
- What are realistic sample quantities?
- How do MOQs affect early-stage product development?
- How can a prototype-friendly supply chain grow into production?
Most examples come from real wearable electronics, jewelry, and small hardware projects.
Project logs document individual sourcing cases and lessons learned along the way.
