Silentium Edge Core is an ongoing project that repurposes a first-generation Apple TV A1218 into a secure, self-hosted edge controller.

Instead of leaving the old hardware unused, I installed a lightweight Linux environment and converted it into a LAN-only system for monitoring, project organization, secure storage, automation, and future distributed workloads.

The current system includes:

• A custom HTTPS web control panel
• Password-protected local access
• System health and storage monitoring
• CPU, memory, latency, and uptime history
• SQLite-backed projects, devices, events, and automations
• Dedicated internal project workspaces
• More than 100 GB of internal storage available
• A secure Project Vault currently under development
• SHA-256 file integrity tracking and evidence manifests planned
• Future support for agents, jobs, backups, and distributed workers
