The Raspberry Pi Pico platform has been missing a high quality audio board.
The TLV320AIC3104 CODEC was chosen for its flexible filter and AGC features and ability to directly support balanced or unbalanced microphone inputs and headphones, 600 ohm balanced or unbalanced outputs.
- Pico or Pico 2 mounts on top of CODEC board
- Up to 96kHz 24-bit audio
- Each of the stereo fully-differential input channels can handle microphone or line inputs (programmable PGA) and can also be operated in single-ended mode.
- A second set of single-ended inputs is available with a configurable mic bias voltage. These share the PGA settings with the main inputs.
- Two independent sets of outputs are available
- Stereo fully-differential outputs to drive 10K ohm loads
- High power outputs for headphones or 600 ohm balanced lines. A 3.5mm TRRS socket is mounted on board and connections are also provided for a remote headphone socket or to drive 600 ohm lines.
The next stage of the project will be to incorporate the AudioTools signal processing library to provide features similar to the popular Teensy Audio platform.
