esp32io is an ESP32-S3-DevkitC-1-based I/O platform bridging industrial-style signals (24V digital I/O, 0-10V analog) with modern IoT protocols (MQTT, Home Assistant Discovery).

I'm a production/manufacturing engineer writing PLC ladder logic and doing on-site panel work. esp32io combines that world with IoT: a board that speaks the electrical language of industrial equipment while integrating natively with MQTT automation.

Design evolution: Serial/JSON → HTTP/Wi-Fi (unreliable polling) → MQTT (pub/sub + LWT) → Home Assistant Discovery (zero-YAML) → PyPI clients (esp32io, esp32io-mqtt).

Hardware: ESP32-S3-DevkitC-1, 6-ch digital I/O, 2-ch 0-10V ADC (non-isolated), 2-ch PWM, 1x I2C port.

Currently working on connection reliability and docs for other makers.
