UWO Z-01 is a compact Nixie tube watch built around the Z5900M miniature Nixie tube. The project explores how a technology originally developed for electronic displays can be integrated into a practical, wearable timepiece.

The main engineering challenge was reducing the size of the electronics, power system, and mechanical structure while preserving the characteristic Nixie tube display. The result is a fully wearable watch combining vintage display technology with contemporary electronics and industrial design.
