What started as a simple ESP32 CYD touchscreen clock project slowly grew into something bigger. I wanted a desk clock that actually earns its spot on the desk,
so RetroClock ended up being an all-in-one clock with a 10-hour weather forecast, crypto ticker with price alerts, countdown/egg timer, and alarm clock.
It shows an hourly weather forecast with icons, no API key required. A live finance ticker tracks crypto prices via Binance, with symbols you choose yourself.
Set a price alert like BTC>50000 and the display turns red with a sound the moment your target is crossed. Need to wake up? Set an alarm with your preferred weekdays; it plays a melody until you tap the screen. There's also an egg timer with a choice of alarm tunes for when you just need a countdown.
