I built a modular tool system for DeWalt batteries that uses a magnetic connector. The problem is that it would be dangerous to supply direct battery voltage with an exposed connector.

Normally magnetic connectors solve this issue by using a sense wire (or 2) but if all you have is positive and ground, then that isn't viable.

I found the Monolithic Power Systems MP5056 hot swap IC which is perfect, but but I couldn't find any modules so I designed this PCB.

The KiCad project is on my GItHub if anyone is interested in creating one of these.
