after the arrival of usb3.o every thing is changing, all are switching to them and mobile manufacturers
are also going for type-c connectors and as they have more free connections they are ditching the conventional 3.5mm audio jack and moving to CDLA technology for audio . as the LETV has already did that in there new models . the problem is the port is only one so we can ether listen to music or charge.(i am using letv-2)
i was going through type c specifications then i got the schematics i.e. make a y-split for it one for charging and another for audio i.e. 3.5mm
so i made a hardware prototype using hot glue
this is my first time and i am just a biggener
so please tell me if i messed up ;)
Hello, interesting project. Can You share more details, does it supports Fast Charging? Typical 3.5mm USB Type-C audio Adapter schematic supports only 500mA USB Charge-Through. Just thinking, reengineering of USB Type-C DAC like LeEco CDLA + making it Fast charging compatible would be more interesting...
