This is my cheap induction forge based on the ZVS2000S 2 kW induction-heater driver board, a Eltek Flatpack 2 (2000w) BF PSU and a LianLi Gallahad aio radiator, all jammed into an old camera case.
I chose that particular ZVS board as whilst still being quite cheap it comes with some nice features like various protections, pads to hook up an external switch and the LCD actually provides useful info. It's pushing the limits of the FP2 PSU, but for work-pieces that match the coil well it's enough to get them to a good workable colour. The FP2 was chosen as it's also very affordable and very well regarded as a quality PSU, there are well documented projects allowing control of it's various parameters via its CAN bus. The next addition to the forge will be adding a CYD to control the FP2.
Total cost if you have any kind of case and an old AIO/rad is under £100.
