Recognizing a tap or shake from raw acceleration data adds another job to an embedded project. This module handles that interpretation locally, pairing an ADXL345 accelerometer with a dedicated onboard MCU.
Ten output pins correspond to gestures or events, including direction, activity, inactivity, tap, double tap, freefall and shake. The relevant output briefly pulls low when detected; your host controller can respond with its own action.
The onboard MCU is not user-programmable, so this is useful when its existing gesture set fits the project. It has a 3.3V regulator and uses 3.3V logic; an external controller is still needed to decide what each event should do.
Key specifications:
• ADXL345 accelerometer
• Onboard 3.3V regulator
• 3.3V logic
• Ten gesture interrupt outputs
• Onboard MCU is not user-programmable
