A continuous line of light can be easier to integrate into a prop or enclosure than a row of visibly separate LEDs. This 30cm strip uses small LEDs along a flexible metal backing, covered in silicone for a neon-like glow.

Both electrical terminals are at one end. That keeps the wiring together while the strip follows the outline of the project. The attached breakout supports castellated mounting or standard 2.54mm headers.

The family is offered in four colors. The input is 3.3V, with PWM brightness control. I recommend current limiting. Plan the supply and mechanical routing around the particular strip and color being used.
