Motion, rotation and magnetic direction describe different parts of how an object moves. The LSM9DS0 combines a three-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer so a project can examine those signals together.
The breakout connects over I²C using 3.3V logic. Configurable ranges and interrupt settings allow the host to choose how it samples movement and which events deserve attention.
Combining the readings into an orientation estimate is still a software and calibration task. This board provides the measurements for that work, making it a starting point for an instrument, controller or motion experiment rather than a complete navigation system.
