Note: a version of this project was entered into last years (2016) contest. While the two machines and this one share some common things, this one is much further along in the development cycle, and has some real major changes. They share the same control software and hardware, and some of the structure in the way they are built. But the changes made are not minor. The new carriage is much smoother and can handle the weight of the accessories (rotating drum, for one) that I'm working on.
But the biggest, and in my opinion the best, change is having the syringe up on top of the machine. I'll explain more here in the project logs as I go along why this is such a big deal, as well as it's few draw backs. But I can tell you now it's a lot easier to get a run started this way.
