I was looking for a straightforward way to make a piezo buzzer louder and couldn't find a suitable breakout, so we made this one around the MAS6240C.
Its internal 3× charge pump boosts the drive without an inductor, keeping the circuit small and flat. It provides up to 18V peak-to-peak output from a 3V supply.
Connect the host's buzzer signal to DIN and the piezo across VO1 and VO2, with power at V+ and GND. The board supplies the stronger electrical drive; the piezo and its mounting still influence how the finished project sounds.
