This protoboard is scored so the board size can follow the prototype instead of the prototype having to fit a fixed rectangle. V-grooves divide the 36×32-position board into sections spaced every four holes.

The holes use a 2.54mm grid and are plated through. They are not joined by pre-existing traces, so circuit connections are made by the builder. Snapping along the grooves produces smaller rectangular sections for different layouts.
