This breakout adds external working memory to a microcontroller project over SPI. Its 23K640 SRAM provides 8KB, giving a project somewhere to place temporary data or buffers outside the controller's internal RAM.
The memory is organized as 8192 eight-bit locations with 32-byte pages and a specified maximum clock of 20MHz. The host performs reads and writes through the SPI connection, making the board a building block for projects that need additional volatile storage.
