In 1980 BYTE magazine published a 8088 Minimum mode SBC called 'Ease into 16 bit Computing' which I saw as a youngster, and thought it would be a cool project when I read it in the Library a few years later.
The article included code fragments for a Tiny BASIC interpreter, but not the full listing. In 2014 I emailed Steve Ciarca and asked if he still had the code, but he replied it had gone the way of all things.
Fast Forward to 2026 when I was playing with Tiny BASICs on 6502, I wondered how difficult to port - turns out not very due to the intrinisic 16 bit math 8088 offers. So here is a 2kbyte Tiny BASIC intended to run on out of an 8755 combined 2kbyte EPROM and IO, including bit-bang serial port, later extended to 32bit floats in 4kbyte EPROM.
