A fun miniature working scale model of an IBM PC 5150 with self-contained SoundBlaster 16 emulated audio output. It was hand-built from polystyrene sheets using an X-acto knife, heat gun, Dremel, and tons of filing, filling, and sanding. HW uses Raspberry Pi Zero 2W with a custom Dosbox build. Requires a USB keyboard. I kept the HDMI-Out accessible so that it can be used for serious work by connecting a larger display
Background: I have always been a fan of retro computing & even contributed historical artifacts to the Computer History Museum in Mountain View back in the days (one used to be exhibited in their lobby). This project came about when my 7-year old daughter & I decided to build our own miniature working replica of the classic IBM PC 5150, after I got her the world's smallest working model of the original 1984 Apple Macintosh built by the amazing Nick Gillard at 1-bit rainbow.
