DPS Control is a single-page browser app for controlling RD Tech (Riden) DPS and DPH programmable power supply modules from a PC. It uses the Web Serial API in desktop Chrome or Edge and speaks Modbus RTU directly to the supply, so there is nothing to install and no vendor software is needed.

Features
- Live readout of output voltage, current, power, input voltage, load resistance and CV/CC mode
- Setpoint control with step buttons, key lock, backlight and auto-sync with the front panel
- Protection settings (OVP / OCP / OPP) in data group M0, plus memory groups M0-M9
- Live chart with selectable time axis and window, Ah/Wh counters, min/max statistics
- CSV logging (every reading or at a fixed interval)
- Ramp / I-V sweep, sequences, auto cutoff and a raw Modbus console
- Built-in simulator with adjustable resistive load for testing without hardware
- Esc key as an emergency output OFF that also stops all running tools
- Light / dark / auto themes
Supported devices
DPS5015, DPS5020, DPS3005, DPS5005, DPS8005 and DPH5005 are auto-detected from the model register (0x0B). DPH3205 is in the list but not yet confirmed. The supply must be the communication version (USB/BT module or serial header). Device limits and scaling live in an editable devices.json file. Riden RD60xx, OpenDPS firmware, DP-series and XY-series units are not compatible.
Wiring
Connect the 4-pin serial header to a 3.3 V USB-UART adapter (CP2102, CH340, FT232): TX to RX, RX to TX, GND to GND. Leave VCC unconnected. The official RD USB or Bluetooth module also works and appears as a COM port. Default settings are 9600 baud, 8N1, slave address 1.
Quick start
Open dps-control.html (with dps-control.css and devices.json in the same folder) in Chrome or Edge, pick the device or leave Auto-detect, check baud and address, click Connect and choose the COM port. Or click Simulator to try it without hardware.
Safety
Always set the hardware OVP / OCP / OPP limits before connecting a load. Auto-cutoff and sequences run in the browser, so if the PC sleeps or the cable is unplugged the supply keeps its last setting. The software logic has been tested against the built-in simulator; feedback from real hardware is welcome.
