I've been working on a battery-powered Linux tablet built around the Radxa CM5, featuring an 8" touchscreen, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, HDMI, audio, a Raspberry Pi GPIO header and replaceable 21700 batteries.

I'm also hoping to develop front and rear camera features for QR scanning, measurement tools and potentially basic AR using the onboard NPU.

The system will run Ubuntu ARM64, supporting a wide range of Linux applications.

Rev 1 PCB design is complete, and my prototypes arrived from JLCPCB today!

Initial power-up tests are looking good, with no fires so far!

A few 0402 resistors need reworking and some components still need fitting before testing can continue.

Follow along if you're interested! I'll be sharing more progress soon.
