Not much to add, just commenting that I did end up purchasing a CCDebugger, as it was much less likely to fry my chips than my hand soldered fine wire idea. I will add header pads to the pcb, I also ordered some pogo pins to facilitate it.

I don't want to pay $200, when i can pay $250 and learn something. Wireless audio by someone who doesn't know anything about it.
