The A.P.E. utilizes two DC motors: one for wrapping the coil around the bobbin, the second for linear actuation to guide the coil wire along the length of the bobbin as the coil is being wound. A PIC16F884 will be used for I/O to an LCD for user feedback and for command / loop closure for both motors.
This is nothing new....so I decided to add a little something different to make this stand out amongst the rest. One goal is to make this compact yet still rigid so it will not move around when the motors are actuating. The second goal...well...I'll keep you all in suspense. Stay tuned for updates.
