The last place to see the 2017 eclipse is on the shores of South Carolina, just a bit north of Charleston. Totality passes right through Charleston, SC, and Hackaday is having a meetup!
We're looking for a place to view the eclipse, so if anyone has an idea of where the best meeting place would be, drop a comment on this page.
So, how was the Eclipse meetup? What did the eclipse look like from Charleston?

Next Hackaday eclipse meetup is in seven years, in the middle of Mexico.
I will be staying just up the coast for the Eclipse. Hoping for clear skies!
I will try to have that day off from work and be there. I'm just up the coast in Holden Beach NC :-)
I do now have that date locked in as a non-work day so I will be going south. I would like to meet up with who ever is going to be there :-) It's about a four hour drive for me :-) Perhaps part of IO will come along as well.
We are going to have a group of us from the Charlotte Amateur Astronomers Club down on Isle of Palms (family has a house there). The beach will be by far the best place to see this, as we will be able to watch the sun's shadow race across the ocean.
