Description

As a geek, what do you do when you want to go camping with as little dependency on outside infrastructure as possible, but still want to charge all of the devices you carry with you on every trip? You buy a solar panel and then go looking for options for storing the energy during the day, so you can charge your phone while you sleep.
Then the project gets a little bit out of hand (as they always do), and you end up with what I've constructed.

Details

Connectors on the outside:

Anderson PowerPole for the solar panel input and three outputs for custom appliances.
- I modded a car fan to use this connector.
Car cigarette lighter connector for car equipment (I got a cooler and a water heater for this)
2x USB for tablets, phones, smaller computers, my electric toothbrush, my cordless screwdriver, my flashlight, …
