This is the hackaday.io page for the creation of #RescueOps badge to hopefully be completed and finished production in time for sale at DEFCON 26 in 2018.  This campaign will be used to fund initial product builds for testing and to locate and fix design flaws and initial hardware choices.  This may not be the same as the final board since they will be prototypes.  If you would like to have your board before the convention next summer this will be your first chance at getting your hands on one and may be the only option for getting your hands on one before the convention.  This badge was thought up while helping a drunk friend get to his hotel room late one night at DEFCON 25.  This badge will include functionality for contacting other badges when help is needed or merely to send a text saying hi to your friends or where to meetup.  We also intend on having a LCD screen with maps of Vegas to help you get around because getting lost in that town is very easy if you have been you know what I mean.  We plan to add more functionality to the badge and other ways to interact with the badge and other badges but I don't want to make any promises we may not follow through with.  We hope that everyone who gets a prototype will help by giving feedback so we can improve before final production.  Although feedback will not be necessary it will be appreciated whether it's negative or positive we want you're input on making this badge.  Hope we can make this dream of ours a reality and hope to see you next year at the con.
