I shudder when I hear "Internet of Things", but I can really get behind a movement called "Oktoberfest of Things".

It looks like you have have detection for how much beer is in the stein, and when the stein is not on the coaster. You should be able to use predictive algorithms to know when the glass will be empty. With BTLE you can chirp back to the bartender so that a replacement will arrive when needed. This is the malt-beverage version of Just-in-Time supply chains.
