The goal of this project is to design (and build) a multi-axis active gimbal for use with my camera.
The main components will be as follows:
6-9 axis accelerometer
Li-po battery
Microcontroller (Probably arduino or PSOC4)
and any combination of
Rotational Axis
Linear Axis
My hopes is that the rotational axis will help take roll out of images, while the linear axis may take jitter out. This should cut down on the amount of software stabilization required.
An eventual add on may be to use the unit to also purposefully control the camera location and orientation for filming.
