This is an inofficial derivative of the Meachaduino Project: https://hackaday.io/project/11224-mechaduino

The original Mechaduino is a cool project, but is designed for stepper drivers with properties of a typical NEMA 17. When you want to drive a CNC-Mill, you require stepper motors the size of a NEMA 23 (or bigger). This project tries to make a "HighPower" Version of the Mechaduino including some improvements, based on the original design from Tropical Labs.

Please note that the project is still in development, and not ready for production use!

flyback diodes
stronger drivers
better silkscreen
correct use of blocking capacitors
fuse (for protection against polarity reversal and shorts)
input voltage measurement
supply of the microcontroller via the motor voltage supply
External storage for calibration and configuration data (EEPROM)
Temperature sensor

Planned Electrical/Mechanical Ratings

Input Voltage-range of about 12V-50V
N-Mosfet Driver which is capable of about 10A
Mounting holes for NEMA 23 (56x56xmm) and NEMA 24 (60x60mm)

Interfaces

USB
UART (3.3V)
Step/Dir/Enable (PoStep25-32 Compatible)

I have my DIY CNC machine and would like to add this steppers servos to my CNC (I used Nema23 2.9A motors).

When you plan upgrade projects bugs (I see some mismach in pinouts)? Maybe you need some help for testing?

The current plan ist to test the current design (mostly done), and manufacture some alpha boards soon, which have all known bugs sorted out (there is for example a missing trace in the current pcb). The prototype pcb is already working, but the stepper motor is not moving as smooth as expected. Probably some calibration issue / or some electrical defect on the driver side.
