This is one of those things i've had to build because i can't buy it. This project is a pulsed power supply suited to electrochemical and discharge machining. This is fed to a universal electrode on a gantry-style cnc mill with electrolyte circulation, allowing cnc machining by the subtractive electrochemical method. The power supply is the bulk of the project, i won't be breaking any new ground with the cnc, just mdf, drawer slides and quadrature encoders.
I was alble to salvage two stepper controllers which are fairly easy interface to, since i have 2 steppers i'll be using these to move the y and z axes, i won't be step counting for position though, i prefer to use encoders to determine position.
