Going for the Jigsaw

After a lot of deep thoughts i finaly got to the Solution to create my enclosure from Layers.

Perhapps I leave out the second plywood plate. I'm also afraid, that it will take me another week to get on the jigsaw.

Another advantage of plywood is, that its really cheap against acrylics :-D

Some hardware stores or better "Baumaerkte" are cutting their wood to a certain size for free, but I guess you need more than that? I need a laser cutter :D My fixietube clock definitely needs a lasercut case!

The final Size of the plywood is already ok.
I need a lasercutter too :-D But manual labor is much cheaper ;)
I have to saw some holes for the connectors.
Drilled only looks really bad.
To bad the Cutworks company only cuts metal ;-)

A year ago I was working in a copy shop and when I left they acquired a laser cutter... bad timing :D I hope they will cut my case, not sure if it is already in use for customers though. I want to make it look like my printrbot simple, so it is essential. Drilling holes by hand for a LED matrix is a pain... and I'll never get them perfect.

I'm not sure but i thought for your fixietube clock there are only 6 drillings?
With the right tools it shouldn't be a difficult task...

hm. well. I may be able to use a jigsaw for that as well, especially when stubby the hexapod is cut out by hand...

regular 4mm plywood from the hardware store. Mainly because I don't like the look of blank acrylic sheets. Although I could settle for black acrylics. Hmm. But I like wood. I may use some wood stain to darken it a bit.
