When editing project details, I see "Log Entry" at the top, which is confusing
I'm using project logs to split a long project into logical sections - would be nice to have a way to control which order they appear in, and woudl also be good to have an index. the current organisation seems a bit too "linear" to handle large projects nicely.
When I'm in a table and press tab, i expect it to go to the next field , not jump down to somewhere else. Annoying that I can't enter number of rows/columds when creating a table.
Looks like @-mentions stopped working in the log text. #-mentions still work.
Hey Radomir, looks like user mentioning does work, you just need to type in a character to get it running. This will be revised, thanks.
It didn't work for me on this log: https://hackaday.io/project/27629-pyboy/log/68526-display-test even though I typed the whole name and surname — the popup didn't appear at any point during that. I tried several times.
Might be the name, had the same problems recently with Radomir, only deshipu worked for linking him.
This is a spam project advertising a service:

I just noticed on other profiles that the "icon is yellow when commented or liked" for projects is not in relation to me but in relation to the user I'm looking at. So when someone likes a project (s)he contributes to, the icon for like (skull) is yellow. When (s)he commented on owned projects, the comment icon is yellow. Doesn't seem right.
Can you disable notification e-mails while the chat window is active?
Hello Hasan! You can disable email notifications from here https://hackaday.io/settings. Thanks!
Well, I want the e-mail notifications. I don't want them only when I'm already on the chat window, interactively chatting with the person.
Could we have some text-shadow added to the headline, so that the title and description are readable even if someone uploads a bright background? Something like:
.headline { text-shadow: #000 0px 0px 2px; }
It would be really helpful if HTML edit mode had even basic syntax highlighting - simply highlighting all HTML tags would make it a lot more useable.
Captions added to images don't persist properly.
I added some captions to images in a log post, and while still in the editor the text appears nicely disjointed from the main body of the post as a smaller italicized line under the image.
After publishing the post, and then revisiting it, the captions are now just normal text interrupting the log and the caption text isn't available in the image editing window anymore.
The "Delete project log" link does not work, looking at the source it's supposed to show a message saying "Are you sure that you want to permanently delete this log?", but the message never comes up and there are no relevant logs in the console... so something is broken. I have tested this only with an unpublished log, perhaps it works with a published one.
Thanks, this will be updated soon in the next release.
Recent projects are busted - All the old old old projects have a last updated time of two hours
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to "Projects" at top
- Sort by last updated
- Try to convince me that those HaD Prize entries from 2014 are still active :)
Seems like generally the project list is right now pretty broken, displaying random projects.
Since the blog side links to the [dot]IO side, it would be cool to have a link at the top of the [dot]IO side that did the reverse -- linking this side of things back to the blog...
"Ah'm jest a-sayin'..."
Hi @Starhawk - Actually we have in "More" dropdown menu as "Blog". Thanks!
Could stand to be a little more prominent, then, maybe... again, just sayin'...
The instructions section is causing me real headaches, when editing and adding steps then old steps get mixed up, then after moving steps back to the right order and save, it looks fine but then gets jumbled up again on the project page. There also needs to be a note that you are only allowed one image per step entry.
Hey David are you working on 6-axis micro manipulator? There shouldn't be a limit on photos per step, at what point does adding the second image fail?
The images can be added but they are removed after saving and only the first one remains
Ok, will do some trouble shooting on this side to try and reproduce the behavior.
I have seen SPAM that is 12 hours old that I have reported and yet not removed.
Developers please prioritize SPAM removal and filtering instead of more incompatible tweaks to needless updates. SPAM is a major problem here.
50% or more of the updates are SPAM. Until you have proper URL filtering in place, PLEASE remove the ability of adding URL, phone numbers in user profile pages.

It's pretty hard to maintain the styling with this list https://hackaday.io/project/25481/details/ - I try to get an empty line before the new point comes. When I hit enter in editing, everything is fine. But after saving / update the whole thing is mashed up again :(

The code snippets seem to have all empty lines removed. Example: https://hackaday.io/project/19371-d1-mini-x-pad-shield/log/68590-example-code
