I noticed there is "Like" option at my Feed entries and I can see who liked it (if anybody). I liked particular project log in my feed, for example, but I can see any likes in the project page. Is there option to see what entries are most liked? Is hacker notified when somebody likes his entry?

Hiya - couldn't find any email or other way to say this! I entered the Hackaday prize on 20th August but never had any contact - can you look into this! I put loads of effort into the prize entry so I'm a bit gutted it never seemed to even be considered. I got the confirmation message that someone would contact me. Project is aquapionics btw.

There's definitely something wrong with My Feed. I see things in Global Feed that I am following, but they do not appear in My Feed. My Feed is not blank, so some subset is making it there - I can't discern a pattern.

I still haven't gotten any notification emails since discussing that with Jasmine 2 months ago (see below). It might be a separate issue, but I mention it in case it might be related.

Glad to hear you like the feel of the place!

When you click the logo (which turns into a Home icon when your mouse over it) it should take you to the feed. But when clicking Projects it should take you to a list of projects. Can you tell me if you're still experiencing this behavior?

[bug] your static server strips metadata from images and thus jpgs that have rotation data lose this. Fix by leaving rotation metadata in place or rerendering the image when rotated.

(at least that's what I think causes https://static.hackaday.io/images/2036461407353412991.jpg to be weird)

That image renders perfectly fine for me using Imagus's hover feature, but if I click it and open it in Chrome directly (no Imagus) it's upside-down.

EXIF is still in there (Samsung SCH-I535, shot on 06.08.2014 09:10). Image is upside down for me in Chrome and IrfanView but in right orientation in Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Adding my sixth project I wondered how the 5 projects that are shown on a hackers profile are selected. When I check Kenji Larsen's profile his "main" project "reactron overdrive" doesn't show. Another hacker that comes in mind is Chris Hamilton with his "flex modules". Could we have a tag option so we can chose which one is selected on a profile?

At one point I made sure every time I visited the site to type in /projects/new so that I wouldn't go to my feed right away. I wanted to see the number of new stories in my feed before they were marked read by me loading the feed. I guess that doesn't matter now that the number is seemingly meaningless, though.

[bug: skulling and following]

Skulling and following used to be instant, and still is on one of my computers (Chrome on Windows 7). On my other computer (Chrome on Mac OS X Mavericks), it takes a few seconds. I click, the button gets darker, I wait, and a few seconds later it changes to "Following"/"You [skull]".

Also, if I click one button while the other is still in the process of changing, it darkens, but then reverts to its original state after I wait. Refreshing the page shows that it did actually work.

[bug: feed]

I just refreshed page 5 of my feed right after opening page 4 in a new tab, and page 5 lost four stories from the bottom; only the more recent four remained. They were replaced with this message:

"(!) Not much to see here yet. Follow some interesting Hackers and Projects to make your feed more lively. You can also check out the Global Feed to check out what's happening in the rest of Hackaday Projects universe."

I refreshed again and it was still there, and the four less recent stories were still missing. Page 5 still has its "Next" and "Prev" buttons. Pages 4 and 6 are unaffected.

Chrome 36 on Mac OS X Mavericks.

The same thing happened when I got to page 2, though this time, it occurred on the first page load and then persisted through a refresh. I refreshed it to find that the fourth story had disappeared; I then went back to page 3 (which I still had open in another tab) and refreshed to find a different story had appeared at the top of that page. Therefore, it appears that the notice is 'covering up' some stories.

Tag normalization - while pulling statistics for HaD Prize, I noticed that the tags have lots of variation based on how people type them in. Easy fixes would be to uppercase all tags, remove leading #, remove double space (or all spaces). What I'd really like to see is a context menu that pops up as you type, suggesting the most popular tags that match what you're typing, so users can try to match what's already been entered.

YouTube has suggestions for tags, as I discovered when I uploaded my THP videos. It's really slow to load for me—it needs to be instant or people will move on to the next tag and never see the suggestions—and the tags it suggests can be weird.

Just an idea - it may be interesting to have option to see similar projects to project currently viewed, somewhere on bottom of project page. The selection can be made automatically, by searching for tags or other keywords.
