1Step 1
Preliminary instructions:
-
2Step 2
1- Create your PCB design and create your PCBs using your preferred method.
-
3Step 3
2- I'll be showing the method using a Silhouette Cameo Hobby Cutter for the preliminary instructions...
Adhere your vinyl to the cameo's adhesive cutting sheet.. (Do not remove the backing from the vinyl)
-
4Step 4
3- Export your creme layers to .DXF format using the eagle (I'll start with Eagle) run command and the creme to .dxf file...Save that file to a good location...
-
5Step 5
4- Open the .DXF file using the cameo's Silhouette Studio software...should import right in with no problem..
-
6Step 6
5- Make sure the stencil is lined up with where you put the vinyl on the cutting sheet..
If you have multiple PCBs on a large panel, you can copy the stencil to match your panel.. spacing might be tricky..I will include some steps later on that demonstrate an easy way to get spacing right before making any cuts...
-
7Step 7
6- Cut the stencil from your vinyl... should be relatively quick..
-
8Step 8
7- Remove the vinyl from the cutting sheet... Peel the backing from the vinyl and adhere it to a piece of aluminum flashing cut to the size of your board...
-
9Step 9
8- Mix your muriatic acid and hydrogen peroxide 1:3 ratio...
-
10Step 10
9- Place your vinyl covered aluminum flashing into the mixture..
