Arduino driving a Parallax Boe-Bot

Description

Had to speed much of the morning on a conference call where I was only needed if there was issues for my team. We had no issues so I had 5 hours of listening to other people work out issues. While setting here I found a few things to play with. Here is a simple quick robot build.

There is an official boe-bot arduino shield but no need for one if you already have the boe-bot. My boe-bot came from a project my son did in high school. They did some basic stamp/robotics programming and this was the left over frame. The stamp and other parts have been scavenged for other projects.

Components

1 × Paralax bot-bot chassie. Need the frame, 2 servo's and the roller wheel in the front.

1 × Any Arduino Most any model will work

1 × Arduino proto shield Not needed if you want to hardware your project.

1 × Ultrasonic Module HC-SR04 ( or similar).

1 × hookup wire

Step 1

attach the servo's to the chassie and feed the servo wires through the slots at the back of the frame.

Step 2

Using standoffs mount the arduino to the frame. My Arduino was in a holder but you can mount the Arduino directly to the frame if you dont have the holder.

Add the proto shield to the Arduino
